Again, I Swore I Wouldn't

It happened again, but I saw the same smear-presented-as-fact nonsense, and more on a site I'm freelancing at.

I haven't shared my new venture because I'm a perfectionist (seriously~ask anyone who knows me well~it actually freezes me sometimes)and wanted a more cohesive set of articles to present before I "made the big announcement". There's been a widget in the header of this blog for a while, so it hasn't been a big secret. But what sparked me to write two blog entries in one day is directly related to my freelancing, so I figured there's no time like the present.

I'm finally freelancing and I'm loving it. You can tell I froze on this one when you see how long I've been a member and how few articles I have written compared to all the other "Hubbers". It's comical.

Anyway, I saw the smear article on the page of someone I accepted as a "fan". The reaction to the article was insane, but the bottom line is that it achieved its purpose; it diverted attention away from the real issues with half/twisted truths.

Unfortunately, these particular smears are very subtle in nature, but they are smears none the less. If you've clicked the link, you saw how many responses there were. I've pasted my comments only over here.

Again, I had no idea

2 What they said.

My husband and I took my son (11) to see W. this weekend. This is a movie everyone should see. EVERYONE. And take your kids to see it too. I was surprised that an 11 year old could fully understand all the dynamics of the situation. This is important. Its not a total smear of the man George W. Bush (Jr.) but it does make things very clear, without the air of "conspiracy" or extremism. W. is a man who should have stuck to owning a baseball team and maybe opened his own brewery. But politics.... never.

Thanks for the tip. I can't wait to see it. It would be nice to see facts instead of smears and conspiracies. I've always felt that GW was trying to make his parents happy and not following his bliss :P
